Question: Hello,
I am 30+ years old and I have attempted to take driving lessons before. It was not a good experience. After my second lesson, I asked for the rest of my money back. Because of the bad experience, I am leery of paying up front for a series of lessons. Is it possible to pay as I go? I really want to get my license but I need for my driving instruction to be a good experience. Thank you.

Question: August 29, 2009 I want to arrange and pay for driving instruction for my adult granddaughter. Please advise as to how to start the process. She does not own a car, and will need to be picked up and dropped off. After she gets her license, I will be buying a car for her and paying for her insurance.
Please advise

Answer: Hi Ms. Robinson. If your granddaughter has a permit, we can schedule her to start this week, no problem. We recommend the 10-hour course ($380) to give her time to relax behind the wheel, gain confidence and provide time to go practice the road test. She can pay with: cash, check or Credit Card on the day we start or you can phone in the CC order for her if you like. Just give me a call and I'll be glad to help set this up to get her on the road asap. Thanks, Terri.

Question: I want to arrange and pay for driving lessons for my adult granddaughter who has never learned to drive, and is in her 30's . She does not own a car, and we will be purchasing one for her AFTER she gets her license. What sort of time frame and costs would be involved. Thank you for a prompt response.
Answered By: Terri
Answer: She does need to go to the DMV to get the Drivers Permit before starting lessons or driving. Once she has that, we'll be glad to schedule lessons, pick her up at home/work and practice. As a general rule, it takes around 10 hours for the average person to get ready for the license test - it just depends on how quickly she learns, fear factor, etc. And we work 7 days a week and could schedule lessons daily or whatever fits her schedule. Just give me a call anytime and we'll be glad to answer any other questions you have.

Question: Hi, I am currently 19 years old and I never got the chance to take drivers ed while I was in high school. I am now suffering from that decision due to the fact of lack of transportation. Im interested in taking driving school, but I would like to get an idea of how everything works and what you think is best for me to do. Thank you, Monique.
Answered By: Terri
Answer: Hi Monique. It sounds like you've waited until you were ready to learn to drive - and a perfect age to begin! You're a smart girl! And let there be NO doubt that you'll make better decisions behind the wheel at 19 than you ever would have at 16! Trust me - I know! As far as how to start - just give me a call and I'll be glad to schedule your lesson, no problem.

Question: Are you only behind the wheel or do you also provide classroom instruction for teens?
Answered By: Terri
Answer: Hi Shari. AAA Driving School does not offer the teen 30 hour classroom because it is free in the school system. There are a few private schools that do offer this course all year. They tend to have their largest groups during summer & X-mas holidays but the rest of the year are tiny classes. If you need help locating a private school for teen driver ed, we'll be glad to help.
