Our Courses

Relax ... We make learning to drive EASY! Our Instructors are VERY PATIENT - I GUARANTEE IT!

Phase I:
Neighborhood Settings:
Learning the car controls.
Practice starting, stopping, turning, backing - basic vehicle control.
Practice 3-Point Turns, Left/Right Side Road Turn-Arounds, Parking etc. Learn basic driver skills.
Goal: Gain Confidence & beginner level of experience in a safe setting.


Phase II:
Rural Road Experience:
Practice keeping the car in your lane, curves, hills, light traffic.
Review Right-of-Way Rules & Defensive Driver Skills.
Continue Practice of Phase I to gain skill/control.
Practice Student Decision Making Skills on the road.


Phase III:
Light Traffic Driving:
Step-up to light traffic & learn to Identify Traffic Problems, Predict what others may do & Decide how to react.
Use all of the skills in Phases I-II.
Turning, breaking, backing, & vehicle control.
Review Right-of-Way Rules & Decision Making Skills in Traffic.
Review Neighborhood, Rural Settings including basic car maneuvers.


Phase IV:
Heavy Traffic
You're ready to drive all over Charlotte!
We cover heavy traffic areas, major intersections and highways.
Lane Changes, emergency situations, construction areas, traffic laws etc. are covered.
Defensive Driver Techniques included daily.

Phase V:
Review of your Decision Making Skills, Confidence Level, Car Control and License Readiness.
Take our Practice Road Test to put your new skills to the test!
NC DMV Road Test! Get your license.


All courses are flexible and built around each students needs. Some move through all areas of driving quickly while others just need a little more time in different areas to gain the skills they need before going to the DMV and driving alone. During each lesson, we will tell you what you're doing well AND what we think needs more practice to make you the safest driver you can be! We also ask you to tell us what you want to practice. When we work together you will learn faster, better and use our time together wisely. Your goal is to obtain the NC License. Our goal is to make you the safest driver on the road! We can do both!
